What’s happening within the counties?

Update: Latest version available here.

The Irish government have been reporting COVID-19 case numbers per county since March, but if we wanted to see what’s happening within a county then information has been limited.

A new map is now being published weekly, showing the breakdown at a much lower level – Local Electoral Area (LEA). Each county is subdivided into these LEAs, with some smaller counties having as few as 3, and Dublin having 31.

In fact, if we look at the 50 LEAs with the highest numbers, Dublin makes up 25 of these.
